An Italian credit mobilier has been formed. Capital 50 millions, with power to increase at will of government to 180 millions. Gold payable in six months instalments.
The Chamber of Deputies has been constituted in Greece.
The French and pontifical officers gave a dinner at Civita Vecchia to celebrate the accession of the Pope. General Dumont presided, and said that the Emperor of France would never abandon Pius the ninth.
The Prince of Milan has been appointed Sovereign of Servia.
The High court of Justices have passed sentence for contumacy on Count Platen Hallermund, latterly minister of foreign affairs to the ex King of Hanover, who was arraigned for high treason. He was condemned to 15 years' imprisonment in the House of Correction, and 10 years' surveillance by the police.
