Pope Hennessy is not to be Governor of South Australia. Some think Governor Eyre will receive the appointment. The Queen has received 20,000 visitors at Windsor. The Irish Church Appointments Suspension Bill has been thrown out by the Lords, after a debate of three days. Votes, 192 to 97.
