CHINA.
The civil war is still raging. The Governor of Ceylon has left On leave of absence, Major General Hodgson acting Governor at Galle. The P. and O. steamer BenareS Was stranded on Fisherman rock, in the China sea, on the 17th May. The passengess and mails were saved ; also a portion of the cargo. Hopes were entertained of getting the Vessel off.
