NATIVE LANDS COURT.

The first Court ' under the provisions of the new Native Lands Act, will be held on the 27th February next. The Court will be opened by Mr. Rogan, who, if not permanently appointed to this district, will act as judge at the commencement. The following notice of this sitting has been widely circulated among the natives :— This is to give notice, that the claim of Tokitoki and others to a piece of land at Napier, called Otupaopao. will l>e investigated on the 27th February, 1866, by the Native Land Court at Napier. Let all who have claims to that Innrt atfeml. After the investigation, a Crown Grant will be issued to the people in whose favour the Court shall decide ; that will be a final settlement ; no person cau bring forward a claim after that. By the Court, Native Land Court, Auckland, December 20, 1865.
