COMPENSATION. npHE PROVINCIAL COUNCIL having apJL pointed a Committee, to receive any CLAIMS TO COMPENSATION which might have been preferred under the Act of Council, session II No. 12, but which owing to accident, ignorance, or other cause, were not ssnt in or not adjudicated upon within the prescribed time, and report thereon to the Council, — ALL PERSONS having such claims are requested to send them in immediately to the Chairman of the Compensation Committee, Council Chamber, Wellington. Particular attention is requested to the terms of this notice, as no claims -which have been before preferred and reported upon by the late Commissioners will be received. FROM 200 to 300 MERINO SHEEP warranted free from disease will be sold a bargain if immediate application is made to the undersigned. At the same time will be sold the RIGHT of RUN over 12,000 acres of good natural pasture, which are estimated to depasture 7000 Sheep. It is well bounded on two sides by water, and on the other two by a large Forest. The improvements consist of a GOOD DWELLING HOUSE 22 by 15, and two Whares on other parts of the Run, with 3 or 4 acres under wheat and potato crops, well enclosel The ROAD TO AUCKLAND forms one of the boundaries and is at present undergoing extensive improvements by the General Government. Twelve shillings and sixpence per half year, payable in advance ; and sixpence per single copy. Tehms of Advertising. Threepence per line, and half price for each, weekly insertion after the third. Advertisements should have specified on the face of the manuscript the numher of times for which they are intended to appear ; otherwise they will be inserted till countermanded. Orders for withdrawal or alteration should be left at the office not later than Wednesday, to ensure certainty of their being attended to for the publication of the following Saturday. New advertisements should be forwarded as early as possible during the week, and cannot be received later than Friday, at neon.
