SALS OF TALUABLE BUILDING ALLOTMENTS In the Town of Wellington, Slew Zealand. TTNDEE authority of an Act, Session 111., No. XJ 14, of the Provincial Council of Wellington, entitled "Harbour Reserves," Notice is hereby given, that the following allotments of Land, situated in the Town of Wellington, will be offered for sale at Public: atietion, at the office of the Provincial Treasurer, in Wellington, on Wednesday, the Bth September, 1858, at One o'clock, p. m., at the Upset Prices affixed in the subjoined schedule. Immediate payment in cash of One-tenth of the purchase money shall be the condition of any such sale by auction, and the remaining nine-tenths of the purchase money must be paid by the purcliasev within one calendar month next after the time of such sale by auction, or the one-tenth of the purchase money which has been deposited will be forfeited, and the original contract for the sale of the land will thenceforward be null and void. In case any lot or lots shall not be sold on the day of Sale now advertised, the sale will be adjourned until Thursday, the thirtieth day of September, 1858, when such unsold lots or lot will be again put up to Public Auction on the same terms and conditions. Any further particulars will be published either on or before the day of Sale. Notice to Immigrants. f ff^HE Provincial Government of Wellington will, £. in pursuance of the Eesolution of the Provincial Council, be prepared to convey to each Immigrant, (introduced under their Eegulations) as soon as he shall have redeemed his Promissory Note or Notes, a quantity of land equal in value, (at the rate of 10s. an acre) to one fourth of the amount of his Passage Money. For example : every Immigrant on redemption of liis Promissory Note or Notes, will be entitled to receive ten acres of land for every Twenty Pounds he shall have paid on account of the Passage of himself and familyThese grants of land will either be made out of blocks specially reserved for Immigration purposes in Small Farm and Agricultural settlements, or in the immediate vicinity of roads in process of construction ; or the Immigrant may select the quantity to which he shall be declared entitled out of any land open to purchase as Eural. In order to facilitate the location of Immigrants desirous of immediately settling upon land and of bsing employed on the Public Works, Eeserves will be made wherever practicable, along or near each line of road, and will be laid off in Ten-acre sections, which the Immigrants will be permitted at once to occupy, receiving a conveyance of the same as soon as they shall have paid the whole of their Passage Money. Parties desirous of availing themselves of this privilege in the block at present being surveyed in the Grey Town Settlement, are requested to make immediate application to the undersigned, who will give any further information that may be required.
