PORT OF NAPIER
ARRIVED. Jan. 13i — Surprise, cutter, 50 tons, James Braund, from Auckland via the East Coast, with 10 pckgs., bonded goods, 40 pckgs. saddlery, haberdashery, and general merchandise, order ; 400 bushels wheat shipped at Poverty Bay. Passengers, — G. Forester and Robert Parkhouse. — G. Forester, agent. SAILED, Jan. 12, — Spray, brigantine, -106 tons, H. P. Anderson, for Auckland. Cargo, — 300 wethers, Wm. Rich ; 6 bundles sheep skins, J. A. Smith. — T. H. FitzGerald, agent. The Surprise has been a week from Auckland, and has called during that time at four places on the coast, the last Poverty Bay, where she took in 96 bags wheat. She brings no mail, not having cleared out for Napier. The "Annie" and "Glance" were both on the berth for this port.
