HEAVY TRAFFIC BREACH

ELTHAM COURT FINE. Because ho was operating a .heavy motor lorry without the necessary heavy traffic license, Leslie Arthur Gower, who made no appearance, was fined £1 10s, costs 10s. Inspector A. E. Lethbridge, who prosecuted on behalf of the Eltham Borough Council, stated that the council took a serious view of the matter and asked for a heavy penalty. Gower had previously been convicted on similar charges.
