AMBULANCE SMASH

DRIVER AND ATTENDANT INJURED. COLLISION WITH TRAM. WANGANUI, Aug. 22. Tfie driver and attendant of a Wanganui Free Ambulance were injured when the ambulance, on its way to a call for assistance, collided with a tram at the corner of Liverpool Street- and Victoria Avenue this evening. The driver, Mr H. Riordan, received a fractured collarbone, and the attendant, Mr Arthur Wansbrough, a badly-cut noso. They were taken in another ambulance to hospital, where their condition is reported as satisfactory. The ambulance was extensively damaged, but no damage was done to the tram.
