The annual Dominion conference of the New Zealand Federation of School Committees’ Associations was continued to-day. A Temit was carried “that whilst making allowance for the high spirit of students at university colleges consequent upon: their graduation this conference deprecates the deplorable conduct of a number of graduates which is a bad example sot by those who have reached the apex of our educational system to children under our control who are just upon 1 the threshold' of school life. In the appointment of special committees by the Minister of Education to investigate matters relevant to primary school education, the conference resolved that the Minister be urged to include a representative of the federation. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £4O. Mr R. S. Vercoe (Dunedin) was elected president. The position was offered to Mr C. E. M. Mackie (Christchurch) but he declined, saying that lie was going "to England.’ for a visit at the middle of next year. The conference adjourned to permit the delegates to visit Massey College.
