Personal and Social The Normanby basketball team to play Okaiawa to-morrow will be Misses M. Hopcroft, I, and M. Schicker, M. Hurley, C. Stewart, E. Flintoff, B. Preston, A. Loader, F. Ogle; emergency, 3>. Dombroski. Mr and Mrs B. J. Linn have returned to Normanby after spending a holiday at Hastings. Mrs IP. uvellett has returned after spending a few weeks in Wellington.

Mrs Hamilton is the guest of Mrs Brisco, Austin Road. Mrs G. Grantham has returned from a short visit to Hastings. Miss E. Free returned to Normanby on Monday after having spent three months’ holiday in the Auckland and Whangarei districts. Miss Jean Allan, of Te Kiri, has been visiting Mrs W. G. Gane. Miss Sylvia. Tippett is Spending a holiday at Horopito. Mrs V. F. Howell was hostess at a bridge party recently, the prize going to Mr Mare. To receive her guests the hostess wore a smart black gown effectively trimmed in black and white. Mrs Brisco and Miss Boris Brisco have returned after spending a holiday in New Plymouth. Miss' McFarlane has returned to Wanganui after spending a few weeks with Mrs A. Galloway. Mrs Meuli has returned home after spending a holiday with her daughter at Otorohanga.
