House Party at Okaiawa

Competitions and Card Games A social evening was held at the residence of Mr and Mrs Jack Shearer, Okaiawa, during the week, when cards and competitions were enjoyel. Card winners were Mrs W, Williams and Mr J. Warnox. A word building competition was won by Miss Mary Linsay and Master Ken Shearer. Among those present were Mesdames W. Williams, R. Shearer, IX Edwards, J. Warnox, R. Penny, A. Sutherland, E Close, W. Johnston, K. J. Watson (Normanby), G. Good,'J. Shearer, Misses M. Linsay, F. Sutherland and E. Washer. Slipper was served by the hostess, after which the Rev. Watson thanked the host and hostess for the use of their home for such a jolly party.
