Mrs G. 0. Pickett Teturns to-day after spending a holiday in Hamilton and Te Aroha. Miss Enid Gordon, who has been the guest of Mrs W. J. Bright, returned to Masterton on Tuesday. Mrs ft. Sage has been visiting Inglewood as the guest of her daughter, Mrs C. Twist. The Misses Sheila and Pat Lovell entertained friends at a jolly bridge evening on Tuesday, when Miss R. Pease and Mr P. McCarthy won the bridge honours. Miss Sheila wore * pretty frock of powder blue ruatalasse with flame coloured trimmings, Miss (Pat wearing forget-me-not blue windswept velvet and a black coatee. A large bowl of scarlet berries made a bright splash of colour in the bridge room, the supper room being arranged with ’ vases of deep rose camellias. Those present included Mrs H. W. Jones, Misses R. Pease, M. Washer, AI. Bright, J. Powdrell, N. Duckworth, B. Powdrell and A. Kemp.
