ELTHAM BAND COMMITTEE

MONTHLY MEETING HELD. (From Our Own Correspondent). Tiie monthly meeting of the Eltham Brass Band Committee was held in the bandroom. Mr A. Beesley presided and also present were Messrs. Egarr, Edwards, Cruden, Andrews, Murray and Drabble. A letter was received from the Taranaki Pipe and Brass Band Union asking for an indication of the measure of support that would be given a proposed smoke concert. It was decided to refer this matter to the baud for consideration. The union secretary notified that tjie profit from the Stratford contest was to be placed in the Post Office savings account. A request was received from the Taranaki Hockey Association that the band give a short programme on the clay of the Indian match. If was resolved that the request be complied with, subject to conditions as laid down.in the band rules.
