350,000 Conscripts Report for Medical Examination ENTHUSIASM OVER NEW ARMY THOUSANDS VOLUNTEER (United Frees Association—By Electric Telegnpo Copyright). Received 1.30 p.m. to-day. BERLIN, June 17. The first conscription, recruits, numbering 350,000 born in 1914, reported for medical examination to-day. An equal number born in 1915 will later be medically examined for labour service, in which they must serve prior to joining the army-. The recruits are cheerful and enthusiastic, and a high percentage is reported to be in the best physical condition. The birth of the new army is raising enthusiasm throughout the country, and thousands of youths are volunteering for service.
