LINER AND COLLIER COLLIDE

NO SERIOUS DAMAGE. MISHAP DURING FOG. (British Official Wireless.) Received 2 p.m. to-day-. RUGBY, June 17. No serious damage was sustained by the Empress of Britain, which came into collision with the Newcastle collier Kafirstan late last flight during a fog in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The liner has only received slight damage to her bows, and her future programme will be unaltered. She is expected at Southampton on Friday and will leave the following day- for the Atlantic crossing.
