Miss Pat Lovell returned from Palmerston North during the week-end. Miss Fiveash has returned to Whareroa. Mrs Norman and Miss Ruth Pease returned from Wellington during the week-end. Mrs Basil Shaw arrived from Otago last week to spend a holiday with her mother, Mrs A. Good. Miss Nancy Sprngg, who has been the guest of sister, Mrs W. Petty, at New Plymouth, has returned. Mrs H. Wells and Miss Wells, of Whareroa. spent the week-end iu Shannon. Miss Iris Sarten, of Tikorangi, who has been the guest of Miss Molly Wells at Whareroa, has returned home. Mrs Yates, of Maunganui, Bay of of Islands, is the guest of her sister, Mrs H. D. Cameron. Miss Jean Devery, who has been spending some weeks' at Ohangai, left on Saturday for her home at Island Bay, Wellington. Miss Molly Black was hostess at at a jolly card evening on Friday when her guests included Misses S. Lysaght, M. Tennent, N. Duckworth and J. Lysaght. Miss Black’s frock was fashioned m pale rose patterned maroeain and her house guest, Miss Isobel Lorimer, of Scotland, wore a gown of lettuce green. Miss J. Lysaght and Mr C. Nicholson won prizes.
