THURSDAY SENIOR RESULTS' (From Our Eltham Correspondent.) Playing at Inglewood oil Thursday the Eltham hockey team defeated ITrenui by two goals to one. In spite of the bad ground conditions, this game was very evenly contested, although Eltham missed many chances, their goal shooting being below standard. Jones, Gower and Scown showed up in bright patches for Eltham, the former scoring good goals. Jones’ effort xvas full of merit, beating the opposition from tiie half-way mark. He netted a splendid goal. Urenui displayed strong defence and their goal was the result of a good concerted forward movement.

Other games in tlie Central Division resulted as folloivs :

Kaponga defeated Tariki at Tariki by 4 goals to nil. Stratford defeated Inglewood at Stratford bv 7 goals to 2LADIES’ MATCHES

The Eltham ladies’ hockey team met and defeated Kaponga on Thursday by one goal to nil. Ground conditions were against good hockey, but the game was bright and Interesting, Good solid team work was the keynote of play on both sides, occasional flashes of brilliance being witnessed. The only goal of the match was secured for Eltham by Miss M. Gower. For Eltham M. Taylor, at full back, proved a distinct asset, ing good initiative and sound defeiice. “Misses M. Gower ancT L. Potts also showed to advantage, the latter giving an exceptionally fine display at centrehalf.

Kaponga showed promise of better results. Miss T. Bradford, at centreforward, kept her position in good style and Miss F. Tattersall, at fullback. was a model of consistency. The inner halves for Eltham displayed merit excepting for an inclination not to take swift advantage of the line throw. JUNIOR MEN.

In a good fast exhibition of the code Eltham drew with Stratford Technical High School, the score being 3 all.
