Two undergraduates, Miss Edith ShaAv-Cross and Lady Katherine Cairns, daughter of the Earl of Cairns, have been ‘‘sent down” from Oxford because they allegedly communicated information to the eollego magazine “Isis.” The sensation is a sequel to a practical joke against Miss Julia Mann, principal of Saint Catherine’s College. The paragraph referred to tlie joke and apologised to the guests invited to the hall. Miss Shaw-Cross, who is the subeditress of tlie “Isis,” xvas first sent down, upon wlxicli Lady Cairns declared she supplied the information.
