WINTER SHOW AT HAWERA
FARM AND GARDEN PRODUCE. Tu tlie garden section at the forthcoming South Taranaki Winter Show at Hawera there are 35 classes and in the held roots section ‘25 classes, so there is ample scope for all sections of the community interested in gardening and agricultural work. With such a fertile district and with all the facilities at their disposal there should be many entries for this section. Some very good special prizes are offeredi and for particulars of these exhibitors are referred to the schedule. In the field root division, Messrs. Borthwick and Son offer a quarter of a ton of chemical manure to the farmer scoring most points. Special prizes are offered by Messrs. G. Syme and Co., for the most points in field roots, and by the New Zealand Clothing Factory for the most points in onion classes. With such attractive prizes there should be good competition. Entries in this section close on June 15. | Those who have not received a schedule can obtain one upon application to the manager, P.O, box 79, Hawera.
