MATINEE TROT MEETINGS
RACING FOR YOUNG HORSES (By Telegrapn—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 23. The board of the New Zealand Trotting Association to-night unanimously carried a motion of congratulations to the Canterbury Owners and Breeders’ Association, on its inauguration of matinee meetings to give young horses experience of racing. The chairman, Mr J. H. Williams, said such meetings would be for the benefit of the sport and would assist greatly dn the education of young horses for public engagements.-
