Mokoia Branch

The annual meeting of the Mokoia branch of the W.D.F.U. was held in the Mokoia Hall on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs S. Buckrell presided. The balance sheet showed a credit balance of £4 10s, which was very satisfactory. In her report Mrs Buckrcll outlined the activities of the branch during the year and thanked all members for their loyal co-operation during the year. Thanks were tendered to the Mokoia and Whakamara Hall Committees for the free use oi the hall for meetings.

The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mrs S. Buckrell; vice-presidents, Mrs W. Marsh and Mrs J. Barkla; secretary, Miss J. Davies; treasurer, Mrs A. Davies. Posies were presented by Mrs Bell and Mrs Barkla to the president and the retiring secretary (Mrs Kibblewhite) and also the treasurer (Mrs McMillan). Afternoon tea -was served.
