CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP

A GRADE FINAL TO-MORROW KAPONGA AND TARURUTANGI Keen interest has been aroused in the play-off at Kaponga to-morrow between Kaponga, winners of the southern division, and Tarurutangi, the northern champions, for the provincial championship. Kaponga have shown themselves as a solid team in their matches this season and should their batsmen strike form a high score will be the order. Tarurutangi are also a strong team, ■with the reputation of beating New Plymouth Old Boys in »the North Taranaki final. Both’teams have played the majority, of their matches on matting wickets this year and so the only advantage Kaponga will have to-morrow will be in the outfield and in the psychological effect of playing on their own ground. An outstanding match is anticipated. Play will commence at 10 a.m. and vehicles may bo driven into the ground.
