SAVINGS BANK DEPOSITS

INTEREST AT THREE PER CENT. (By Telegraph — Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 28. A notice" in the Gazette extends the application of an Order-in-Council made on March 20, 1933, fixing the maximum rate of interest payable on savings bank deposits. The maximum rate that may be paid by the trustees of any savings bank in respect of any period after March 31, 1935, shall be three per cent, per annum.
