In a debate on the Air Mail Bill to increase the poundage rates paid private air lines, which was passed by the House of Representatives, Mr Melvin J. Maas (Republican, Minnesota.) made a charge that Mr Elliott Roosevelt, son of President 'Roosevelt, as an official of the Aeronautical Chamber of Commerce had been active in the lobbies on its behalf. Mr Roosevelt, junr., immediately denied the charge, saying; that his duties involved only the relations between the railways and the air carriers.
