GATHERINGS AT WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 26. On his departure next week to continue his economic studies at London and as a member of the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes’ staff Mr H. I. Forde recently of the Evening Post staff and chairman of the Press gallery, was met by Jiis colleagues of the gallery at a gathering to-night which was attended by Mr Forbes, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates and Mr M. J. Savage, who all paid a high tribute to Mr Ford’s capabilities and expressed a wish for his future success in England. Opportunity was also taken to hid farewell to Mr L. Jillett, of the New Zealand Herald, who is to leave shortly to take a position on tlie Melbourne Argus.
