At the Carlton tearooms, Hawera, to-morrow evening at 8 o’clock, Mrs. Hester Stansfield Prior, A.R.C.M., London, will give a lecture-recital on “Music and Musicians of England,” under the auspices of the Music Teachers’ Association (Hawera branch). The public is invited to attend. English Press notives attribute to Mrs. Prior “an entertaining manner of speaking to her listeners and keeping them thoroughly interested. She is a delightful pianist.” Mrs. Prior, who is a member of the Royal Philharmonic Society, conducts the music appreciation course at Plum stead and Woolwich Literary Institute.
