COUNTY COUNCIL SUBSIDY.
(To the Editor). Sir.—Will the Hawera County Council allow the following to inspect the council’s minutes to ascertain a disputed point, “What date did the council decide to grant an extra 2s a day on relief pay to unemployed men?” I suggest that the search of the minutes be conducted by a Justice of the Peace, one representative of the council, and one of the men, under a pledge of confidence regarding any other minutes not related to this subject, the result to be published in the “Hawera Star.” On behalf of the men concerned in the Morea Valiev dispute, I am. yours etc. T.
