INTER=DIVISrON MATCH WEST END DEFEATS PARK SEMI-FINALS AT STRATFORD By a margin of nine points West End (winner of the Northern Division shield bowling competition) defeated Park (winner o. the Southern Div ision) in a semi-final of the competition played at the Avon (Stratford) green on Saturday. West End thus earned the right to play off with the winner of the Central Division v. Western Division semi-final for the championship of Taranaki. Results of Saturday’s play were as follow, the names of the West End players being mentioned first: Hannah, Hill, Mason, Luscombe 20 lost to Parkinson, Pinnerty, Thurston, j Goodwin 23. SINGLES CHAMPIONS. PARK CLUB FINAL. In the final of the Park club’s, singles*- championship _ played on the two-life system, 21 points up, J. mas defeated F. Chadwick 20. THOMAS ELTHAM CHAMPION. ■LAST BOWL DECIDES MATCH. R. E. Thomas was the winer of the Eltham Club’s singles championship, ■He defeated Drabble on Saturday by 19 to 16 in the final. The final head was exciting. Drawing in good style Drabble lay four up when Thomas had one howl in hand. Playing an exceptionally fine draw shot Thomas iested on the shot howl to lie second shot.
