OPENING DAY’S RESULTS ONEWHERO TO BARN DANCE STAR ARTTST WINS LAST (By TelegiapU—Press Association.) PUKEKOHE, ’March _3. The Combined Bay of Islands and Franklin meeting was held yesterday in fine and dull weather. There was a record attendance. The going was easy after recent rain. Totalisator investments totalled ;£21j170 10s against £31,819 10s last year. An inquiry was held into the ranning of On Parade in the Onewhero Hack Cup and a charge that the horse did not run on its merits was upheld. G. A. Holland, the trainer, J. v. Fergus, the jockey, and the horse were disqualified for six- months. The concluding results were: —
