HIGH SCHOOL ENCAMPMENT

COMMENCEMENT ON. .MONDAY,

The boys of the Hawera Technical High School will go into camp at the Egmont A. and P. showgrounds on Monday under the command of Lieutenant J. C. Findlater. The boys will he encamped in tents for a week, each one paying a small moss allowance. The camp is an annual one and is conducted by officer-masters of the school in co-operation with instructors from the Defence Department. Strict discipline is enforced and the boys are given training involving musketry drill and general^exercises. In recent years the school has attained a high standard in drill, and at the end of last year were complimented by Colonel P. Svmon, 0.0. Central Command, on conspicuous efficiency.
