CHANGES IN APPOINTMENTS MEMORIALS PROM MEETINGS MINISTERS AND POLITICS.

DUNEDIN, March 1. The Methodist Church Conference decided to hold the next conference at Christchurch, commencing on February 13. It was resolved to appoint a committee to consider during the year a memorial from certain quarter--1- meetings that in cases of ministers assuming civic- or Parliamentary office the conference request their resignation as ministers. The following alterations in the first draft of ministerial appointments were approved:—Auckland Central (Ro.skill), the Rev. H. J. 13rown replaces the Rev. J. W. Parker; the Rev. M. West, second home missionary, replaces the Rev. Gordon Parker (Whangai'oa); the Rev. V. R. Jamieson re. places the Rlev. C. E. Dickens (Kawa-

kawa-Ohaewai) ; the Rev. L. V. Hanna replaces the Rev. C. J. Lux ton; South Aueklancl-Hauraki Plains, the Rev. C. J. Luxton replaces “one wanted”; Cambridge, tbe Rev. W. J. Oxbrow replaces the Rev J. H. Haddom; Hamilton, the Rev. R.. P. Kealo replaces the Rev. V. R. Jamieson; TaianakiWanganui (Wanganui North), the Itov J. W. Parker replaces the Rev. G. H. Goodman (probationer) ; Hawke’s BayManawatu (Foxton); Shannon reverts to the status of a home mission station.

Olphert; to supply Bom-ba\--Tuakau, the Rev. A. P. Dorrian; to supply Silverdale, the Rlev. E. H.l Dailey; Mahurangi second (Pakiri), the) Rev. IT. R,. Wright; Kawnkawa-Oliae-wai to become a circuit; Hokianga (Koluibc.hu), the Rev. O. H. Bell,

South Auckland; Ngnrunwnhia, the Rev. A. L. Witjierford; Hauraki Plains to become a circuit; Te Puke, the Rev. E. J. Clarke. Taranaki-Wanganui: New Plymouth (St. Aub.vns), the Rev. T. W. Otago-Southland: Port Chalmer.s (Ravensbourn), the Rev. G. Demscm; Dunedin (North East Valley), the Rev V. C. Thomas; Mosgiel, the Rev. N. Challenger; Lawrence, the Rev. W. J. Henderson; Kaitangata to be eliminated ; Edendale, the Riev. J. C. RAshworth ; Nightcap, the Rev. C. Robinson.

In the last-minute alterations to the final draft of appointments of ministers Mr. F. H. Hayman replaces Mr V. R. Jamieson at Hamilton second, Mr. R. P. Iveall replaces Dir. H. G. Brown at Tcmuka, and Mr. W. E. Moore’s appointment to Geraldine stands.
