MANUTAHI
MEETING OF AY.D.F.U. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Mrs L. R. Hamilton presided over an attendance of nineteen members when the first meeting of the Manutahi branch of the \A 7 .D.F.U. for 1935 was held in the hall on Friday last. An interesting address was given by Mrs Lovell, Hawera, on the subject, “My Recent A 7 !sit to America.” The senior girls of the local school attended the address at the invitation of the branch ‘and greatly appreciated Mrs Lovell’s remarks, as did the members. It was decided to conduct a “bring and buy” stall in aid of branch funds at the March meeting. Hostesses for the day were Mesdames AY. Smart, D. Schwass and D. M. Jillett.
