AIR. COATES AT DUNEDIN. TALK WITH BUSINESSMEN. (By Telegraph—rress Association.) DUNEDIN, Jan. 17. The Minister of Finance, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, conferred to-day with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and business interests of Otago and Southland on the subject of the mortgage finance proposals. Air. Coates left for Christchurch this afternoon, making a- stop at Timaru. He was accompanied by Mr. Paul Yorschaffelt, AL\ A. D. Park, Dr. W. B. Sutch and Air. B. C. Ashwin.
