DUKE ON SHEEP FARM

HELP WITH MUSTERING. EXHILARATING EXPERIENCE. (By Telegraph-—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 16. The Duke of Gloucester figured in the role of a sheepfarmer at Longbeach to-day. Unsettled weather in the early morning was succeeded by’ brilliant sunshine and His Highness spent most of the day riding over different parts of Mr. J. H. Grigg’s property. He took part in some of the actual farming operations and assisted with mustering the sheep. He also tried iiis hand dipping them. The experience was an exhilarating one, which Prince Henry enjoyed to the full. In the late afternoon the Royal visitor played several sets of tennis.

If the weather is suitable the Duke will probably spend most of to-morrow in the saddle.
