The Graziers’ Federal Council has decided to ask the Commonwealth Government to amend the Industries Preservation Act to permit open competition in tho transport of wool and meat overseas. The council points out that the Overseas Transport Association, which is allied to the Overseas Shipping representatives Association, had power to make freight agreements, and that a request for a freight reduction some months ago had been ignored by the shipowners. The council therefore: asked for the abolition of tiie Overseas Transport Association.
