BARMAN REMANDED
ALLEGED ASSAULT ON WOMAN. INCIDENT Ilf"BEDROOM. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. Janies Houston, a barman, aged 33, charged with assaulting Margaret Jane Foster on December 25, appeared before Mr Leary, S.M., in the Police Court, The police, said it was alleged that lie entered a room where the woman was in bed at 4 a.m. and struck her with a bar of iron. Houston w T as remanded until January 8, bail being allowed.
