SENTENCE FOR THEFT
MARRIED WOMAN’S LAPSE. “PROBATION OUT OF QUESTION” (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, To-day. A sentence of twelve months’ imprisonment With tile term of two months she was at present serving, was imposed by Mr Justice Ostler, in the Supreme Court on Olive Muriel Goodwin, married, who had pleaded guilty to theft and with obtaining money by false pretences. His Honci r said in view of her record probation was out of the question.
