A team from the Opunake Ladies’ Golf Club journeyed to Eltham yesterday and were defeated by five games to one by the Eltham Ladies’ Club. The results, Eltham players being mentioned first, were as follows: — Mrs Tayler and Mrs J. Quin beat Mrs Morris and Mrs Brennan. Mrs Stewart and Miss Carncross beat Miss Trotter and Mrs Burmester. Mrs Stanners and Miss Carter beat Mrs Eraser and Mrs Ritchie. Miss M. Gibson .and Miss Harcourt lost to Miss O’Sullivan and Miss Peaver. Mrs Worthington and Mrs Fountaine beat Miss McEeynolds and Miss Geary. Mrs Guthrie and Mrs Belcher beat Miss Smith and Miss McNae.
