ACTION AGAINST FARMER

AUCKLAND, Sept. 18. Judgment in favour of the plaintiff, Mrs Inez Esma Sweetapple, for £lO2 and costs against Hugh Hedley, farmer, Penrose, was given by Mr Wvvern Wilson, S.M., in an action heard last week in which it was alleged that the pacing gelding Silver Bingen, while spelling in one of Hedley’s paddocks, had been gored by a. bull and had Inter to be destroyed.
Mrs Sweetapple claimed £l5O damages as the value of the horse and a veterinary surgeon’s fee. The negligence which Mrs Sweetapple alleged against Hedley was denied by Hedley,
