Peter Davidson, not Dawson as cabled on Saturday, who won the piping competition against Scotland’s, best at Oban, is aged 25. He was torn and educated at Dunedin and lias taken part in piping competitions in New Zealand since lie was aged 10. tie won the New Zealand piobaireaclid championship at Dunedin in June, 1933. He left in January last to attend classes in baking at a college in Aberdeen and, intends to obtain further experience in Canada and will then return to New Zealand next year.
