Several hundred Musakhel Malimands created a panic in the bazaar s at Peshawar yesterday when they attacked, the police station and attempted to rescue a number of their ieJlows who had been arrested for looting moneylenders’ shops. Policemen guarding the police station were stoned and injured, upon which the constabulary Jircd, injut mg many tribesmen. - The Governor, Sir Ralph Gninths, who is popular with the Mahmaiuls and speaks their dialect fluently, immediately saw the tribal leaders, whc expressed regret, handed over tire offenders and consented to pay a line of £385.
