Among the r-eiiistatements in l'su’ar naki from Rugby League to Rugby Union approved by the manageonen, committee of the New Zeaalnd Rugby Union to-night were M. S. McKay, A. J. Sanson. C. Bedford, J. Bonniface, E L. Christensen and J- McLeod. The largest number of applications for reinstatement to Rugby Union from Rim by I-eague that the New Zealand Rugby Union lias had at one rime was deaTt' with at to-night’s meeting of the management committee. The majority of the 113 applications came, from Aucldand and AVellington, but Canterbury. West Coast and North .Auckland fitnired prominently oil the list. ““All licague players must be now back in Rugby,” remarked one member of the committee. The secretary, Mr A. E. Neilson, said he had bad a new cabinet installed to cope with the large number of applications. QUF.SCTION OF BROADCASTS. MAORI PLAY INQUIRY. AVELLINGTON, .May 2. A sub-committee Iconsiiting -of Messrs S. S'- Dean, J. Roach© and J. Prendeville was .set up by the manage ment committee of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union to-night to deal with the question of Rugby broadcasts find to report later to the management committee regarding the question of Maori football, which was referred to the management committee by the annual meeting. Mr Dean suggested that^a mooting, be held with the Maori executive. Action was wanted speedily and the position could be outlined to the Maori executive. A, meeting with representatives of the Maori unions and the EuroDoan unions concerned could then be meeting between the management, committee and the Maori executive was; arranged for May 16. i
