The Australian Jockey (Jmb was favoured with ideal weather for the aourtli and. conducting day oii its autumn meeting at Randwiok oil Saturday. The track was in excellent order, and the attendance was 32,000. The; Doncaster winner, Chatham, continued on his winning way with an easy victory m the (J .W. Cropper Plate. Golden Wmgs was favoured at the start. Due to his bad manners at the post Golden Wings was hurdled off on the outside, and was moving in to take up his position when the Harriet lilted. Making most of this advantage. Golden Wings quickly established a substantial lead and led around the turn, hut he was unable to pace it in the final stages with the mighty Chatham.

The King’s Cup field, which comprised Australia’s best weight-for-age horses, including two Melbourne . Cup winners, provided the most thrilling finish seen at Randwick for a long time. Peter Pan, Kiivera, and Rogilla raced abreast over the final, halffurlong, Rogilla finally getting his nose in front a .stride from the post. Gippsland. 8.1 (Knox) 1 Tingalba. 9.2 (Pike) 2 Balgay, 6.10 (Wajles) 3 Nine started: Rogerson was the early pacemaker from Ba.lgav and Lightning March, and ivas the first to turn for home from Tingalba, Confab and Gippsland. Silver Scorn and Peter Pair, with Rogilla in the rear of the field. oro land Mr Kerry, together, were first into the straight closely pressed by Peter Pan, Silver Scorn and Kuvera, with Rogilla making a fast move. A furlong from home Peter Pan and Kuvera had a slight advantage over Gogilla. Then ensued a thrilling struggle. The three horses were abreast at the past, Bogilla poking his nose in front in the final stride to win by a head. Time, 2.32 : . THE FINAL HANDICAP. Of £650. One mile and a-quarter. Rivalli. 8.6 (Maxwell) 1 Milantheon, 8.12 (James) 2 Australia Fair, 8.4 (Cook) 3 Fifteen started. Rivalli ran to the front passing the mile and led for the remainder of the journey. Milantheon came fast in the straight, but Rivalli hung on well and won by a length. Time, 2.5.
