The totalisator handled £6335 10s, against £4393 10s last year. Harold Logan’s appearance was appreciated. The champion was taken alone- by Nelson’s Chum and paced a mile in 2.11, without being extended. Details of the concluding results are: LONGBURN HANDICAP. Won bv a long neck; six lengths. Time, 4-52. Tasman Flight and Red Huia led at the end of a mile, but the latter broke and Tasman Flight established a good lead, showing the way to the straight ahead of Arapai, Red Huia. and Blue Bov The leader slowed, but was still in‘front at the post., though galloping. The stewards decided not to alter the placings. DASH HANDICAP. 1 Lislea. 24yds (Smith) 1 4 Belinda King, 24yds 2 3 Oro’s Pride 48 3 Also .started: 2 Peter’s. Fault limit, 5 Storm Queen, 6 Arthur Chimes 24. _ Won by length .and a -half; six lengths. Time, 2.17. Lislea went to the front at the halt mile and won well from the fast finishing Bolinda King. PRESIDENT’S HANDICAP. Of £7O. Won by ai length, and a. half ; halt a length.' Time. 2.50. . Highland-Derby led to the straight and in a close finish Paul Drusus got up to win. Smoke Screen cut Guvmond out of second place.
