CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 9. P. G. Hawes, 8.10, New Zealand featherweight, champion, heat C. Raynor, 9.0, Marlborough, this year’s amateur featherweight champion, on points in a 12 rounds contest to-night. The bout was a little disappointing and marked by clinching and much missing bv both men, especially Hawes, who did not show his early professional form. Rayner, having his third fight in a fortnight, was not' always fast. The decision was not popular. »
