(By Telegraph—Tress Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 9 The Metropolitan Trotting Club’s spring meeting was continued to-day in fine weather with a good attendance. The track was in very fast order. The totalisator investments were £27,406 (win: £.12,204, place £15,112), compared with £27,768 on the corresponding day last year. ■: ' ft a* In the Courtenay Handicap the time was a New Zealand two-mile race winning record. After the Derby Stakes the judicial committee met to consider a protest by T. A. Candy, the driver of Morello, against Erst place in the Derby being awarded to War Buoy on the grounds of interference. It was decided to dismiss the protest. M. B.
