(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Nov. '7. The greatest galaxy of police talent ever assigned to any criminal investigation in New Zealand is now engaged on the Ruawaro mystery. Since the arrival on Saturday of Inspector Cummings of the Commissioner’s Office, Wellington, numerous conferences have been held, by Comm.--sidner Wohlmann, Superintendent lill (Auckland) Inspector Ward (who arrived from Wanganui yesterday) and Inspector .Cummings. Two large fast cars, hired for an indefinite period, to-day left for Ruawaro carrying u superintendent, two inspectors, three, detectives, two sergeants and ten picked constables. In addition, detectives and constables from other districts, even as far south ais Palmerston North and Wellington, are understood to have joined the already large force at Ruaivaro. Close secrecy is being observed and no hint is given by the police as to the cause or motive of this latest development. The bodv -of Mrs Christobel Lakey was found in a ducknond at her home kit Ruawaro on (October 15 and a search has been conducted continuously ever since for her husband, whom the police believe to be dead.
