Sources close to the President predicted to-day that the status quo of the Anglo-American debt situation, will be maintained by Britain’s offering and A'lr Roosevelt’s receiving another “token” payment in lieu of full payment, on December 15, says the Washington correspondent of the “New York Times.” Yesterday’s conference at White House was to discuss such arrangements. After all hopes of a final settlement had been abandoned for over a week Air Roosevelt has made such an offer. Britain is expected to comply as an alternative to default. Later the efforts will be revived to reach a permanent adjustment between 1 the two nations. ■
