NEW ZEALAND INVITATION,
VISIT NEXT YEAR
■By TeiPirraph—Press Ass-vnation.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 6. The council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association to-night decided to invite the Australians *T. Horsfall E. W. Barwiek and J. P. Metcalfe to visit New Zealand, leaving Svdncv on February 15. Horsfall is a 100vd and 220 yd runnei, Baswick’s distances are one to ten miles, and Metcalfe competes in high and long jumps and hop, step and jump. It was decided to hold the New Zealand championships at Wellington on February 16 and 17. A suggestion from, the Otago centie that the question of securing a coach from England be investigated was referred to the centres for their opinions. The following were granted reinstatement: A. E. Lacey (Whangarei), 11. P. Wilson (Whangarei), E. \\ hittle (Whakatane), G. iS. Akroyd (vvhakatane), E. J. Roberttson (Rotorua), J. E. S vines (Whangarei) and O. L. Davies (Tancattua). The applications of H. M. White (Hawera) and V. Barrett (Blenheim) were declined.
